Manchester Airport Directions

Manchester Airport is easily accessible by road. It is located just off junction 5 of the M56 motorway. The M56 can be reached by the M60 and the A560, which link to the M62, the M6.

The airport is signposted from the M56.

Manchester Airport has it's own train station aptly named 'The Station'. The station has regular services throughout the day and a few at night that link the airport with Manchester city and services run to over 100 destinations across the north. Destinations include Leeds, Shefield, York, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Bolton, Preston and Crewe.

Both coaches and local buses run to Manchester airport on a regular basis. National Express run regular coaches from all over the country. The local buses round from in and around Manchester and run as often as every 10 minutes.

Greater Manchester's Tram System currently does not link to Manchester Airport, but it is expected to be so in the future as part of the expansion of coverage in South Manchester.
